Canoe racing in Warren, Pennsylvania: Canoes, kayaks, and all filled the Warren area in August 2009 when the United States Canoe Association returned for a 4th time to hold its national competition. The flat water paddling on this 9-mile stretch of the Allegheny River is ideal for a race course. Races start at the Big Bend Visitor's Center at the foot of Kinzua Dam and finish on the west side of Warren at Betts Park.
