The WARREN COUNTY FOR OBAMA story
It started in a Pancake House...It moved to a Coffee House...It found a home in an Antique House...
And ended up in a Fire House...and all we did was listen to the music!
Results matter. Seven Warren residents at the Perkins Restaurant meeting agree to launch a voter
registration drive to publicize that Republicans and Independents can easily change to the Democratic Party
to cast a vote in the April 22, 2008 Presidential Primary. Warren County for Obama group signed up 300
voters by themselves. The publicity it generated resulted in 1200 new Democratic voters in Warren County, a
10% increase. This translated into 2,040 votes for Obama. Although we lost 2 to 1 to the opponent our
delegate count fared much, much better. The combined congressional district voting for the 3rd and 5th
districts yielded 4 Obama delegates to the Democratic Convention, with the opponent gaining only 5. Nice
job, Warren!
