Canoe Camping on the river.

A group of paddlers settle down for the day on
an Allegheny island, making themselves at
home and perhaps staying a day or two
before heading downstream. There are two
wilderness islands on the river just south of
Warren, Pennsylvania on the way to
Tidioute
and
Tionesta. In all, there are seven
wilderness islands, the first land designated
wilderness in the state.
