                tour of Victorian Warren
Today, timber contributes more than one-eighth of the local school
district's annual budget through federal dividends from the Allegheny
National Forest and at least one township government continually runs
in the black due to these payments.
New construction, spearheaded by Northwest Savings Bancorp,
recently created a "
skyline" in  Warren. This is also the headquarters of
that growing regional bank.
It is not unusual to see eagles over Warren which can be identified by
the low frequency at which they flap their wings. One resident reported
a Golden Eagle perched in his yard in the Fall of 2002.  This photo was
taken on Sept. 27, 2005. It's a view from a cemetery in South Warren.
Note the three birds circling above. Most likely these are hawks, but the
lower one may be a Bald Eagle.
